Hi, I am new here. I want help. I am doing off page SEO to one of my client. Now he wants to do on page also. I am completely unaware about the same. I asked his site's control panel (user ID and Password). But he refused to do give and also adviced me there are other ways to do on page SEO without control panel. Is it right?

On page seo is all about to make your website SEO friendly, It can only possible when we can make the website according to standard of Google, Without control panel its not possible. You just need to clarify these things to your cleint so that he can provide you the permissive to handle the website.

software? Filezilla to access his files.

If his site is in Wordpress or other CRM, then there's no software needed.

If your client is using WordPress have him install a SEO Optimization plugin like Yoast or All-in-One SEO and walk him through it the best you can.

Hi, What are the procedures to install WordPress. Should we know PHP or MySQL? Is it difficult to learn?

Your question is so vague it's amusing!

It depends on the client's site. You don't necessarily need to log in to the CPanel. If their site is using a CMS you might be able to edit all the areas you need from there. If not, ask for FTP access so you can edit attributes... Some will only grant you access to edit their site for a specified amount of time before your temporary log-in details are locked out (three hours for example). This isn't the best way to do things - but the customer gets what the customer wants.

Many clients have asked me to enter my recommendations onto a spreadsheet, Word doc or even email; as they prefer to edit their site themselves or get their development team to do it.

networldblg, I would like to say something about the bold part of your thread.

You are doing off page SEO, but you are unaware about the on page SEO? Interesting - I think you have learn the half and started working on other's site. You must learn first the overall SEO Process and then start working.

If you don't know about On Page SEO, then how do you know that control panel ID and Password is required?

I guess you have something in mind but writing something else and looking for something else as answer.

Actually I've heard about frequency (or density) of the keywords in the body not to matter already for a long while, and also in the URLs (although I'm not sure about the latter). I'm not sure if the headings matter at all, could someone clarify this please?

Titles are indeed important (been there, done that), and the anchor texts I've learned.

And all these mean editing the website, which is impossible if not given the appropriate access.
