What is the best way to get rid of them... I am thinking about those options. a) forbid the robots to spider the folder b) delete all the files and do nothing Input appreciated Go to Google's urlconsole and follow the instructions. Start at... http://www.google.com/intl/en/webmasters/3.html#B1 ...and go from there... yeah i figured that the robots.txt method would be the best but I kinda had to think about what will happen when I just del everything... then everything should be 404'd ... well... I think I ...

This would be no issue if the string I am searching for wouldn't be written exactly like searched on the indexed pages of mine. The pages have PR, unique content and lots of them but when I search for a certain phrase - nothing when I do the site:domain.com command those pages in question have no title no two line description no link to the cached page no size description just the url and the link to similair pages. I do not understand that to be honest. I've never had problems like that before. I had ...

I'm going to have a glossary on my site. There will be roughly 100 - 150 industry specific terms with their definitions. I plan on having all these terms listed on one page under 3-4 categories. And each term, when clicked, will bring up it's own individual page. I plan on optimizing a certain amount of these individual pages keying specifically on the one term on each page. Now let's pretend that we have the following 3 terms: 1. car broker 2. automobile broker 3. SUV broker 4. station wagon broker 5. ...

Assuming page names and urls are not changed: If a site that has not been seo'd before all of the sudden meets all requirements to be ranked #1... would google flag it with a OverOpPenalty? A friend scared me a bit with his stories about this topic... as far as I know this shouldn't be a big issue... comments appreciated. What is a good keyword Denisity % to shoot for? Thanks, Ptdirect http://www.personaltrainerdirect.com Who told you that keywords density was important? (((5%-12%)))))) was a rumour of acceptability I believe! but it really depends how big your overall page is and the type of content. I would just make sure, that the keyword that you are optimizing for is most frequent word on this page. Don't stuff too much our page with this keyword, because you might get penalized. Was it a joke the figures you gave ...

I could be completely wrong here but I was browsing through pages of results yesterday on www.google.co.uk and when i hovered my mouse over the links to the sites in the results i saw that it wasn't going directly to the site it was showing something like www.google.co.uk/url?site=http://www.dance-radio.net&8492 Is this something to do with customising google that i had accidently clicked on or is it a new change to google, it seems to stop doing this when i deleted my cookies and temporary internet files, ...

I was using the site:www.mysite.com tool and noticed something unexpected. Within the returns, I came across a link (redirect) from a site that I submitted to. It is a very relevent site and has links to many within my category. However, why would it appear in the site: command? The link looks like this... www.theirsite.com/cgibin/pseek.go.cgi?id=220 Clearly they are just using this to add links to their site and it appears on an html page. Clicking on it at their site takes the surfer to may main page, ...
