I'm familiar with how to calculate the difference between two dates but I was hoping to find open source that will take a NSDate and return a string that goes from "seconds ago" to "date" similar to Facebook. I tried a number of obvious search terms and couldn't come up with anything. Any suggestions dany_dev wrote: » yes, you can start from this code objective c - iPhone: Convert date string to a relative time stamp - Stack Overflow -(NSString *)dateDiff:(NSString *)origDate { NSDateFormatter *df = ...

Hi There, Was wondering if anyone knew of a class which would give you a string telling you in 'human terms' how long ago a date was. For example on twitter/facebook when you see post dates like 2 minutes ago, or 3 hours ago, or 2 days ago... anyone know of a class which handles all the cases like this... or else how do I basically go about doing something like that with an NSDate?? Thanks in advance, Alex iSDK wrote: » Came across it a while ago on StackOverflow. -(NSString *)dateDiff:(NSString ...

Learn from my mistakes and avoid uploading you app just to be rejected. Apple insists (got a direct email) that bundle identifiers must be unique for each app, even if you have two edition of the same app like Lite and Plus. Also, before uploading your ZIP, check if it has really been signed. If not, Application Loader will say "Application failed codesign verification". To check, use a terminal window and go to the directory where you have your .app. There do "codesign -vvvv AppName.app", where AppName is ...

I'm designing an iPhone app and I want to update one small part of it from a central server. I just want to grab a few lines of text and photo. What's the best way to retrieve this info from the iPhone? Should I set up an RSS feed? Just but the plain text and photo URL there in an easy to parse format? I'm a novice web developer so I'm really not sure. Thanks in advance for the advice! I am doing the same thing. If you only want to retrieve text, I think XML is a solution. You can have a look here ...

Any help here would be greatly appreciated...I have been trying to get my app uploaded for days. I have been thru the forum and have tried numerous suggestions that I came accross. The problem is that I can not successfully upload my app using ApplicationLoader; I typically get one of two errors: 1. Application failed codesign verification 2. Application loads successfully (according to program) but sits at the "waiting for upload" status. In both cases above I have executed a commandline "codesign -vvvv ...
