Synchronizes system time via NTP automatically or manually. Will be useful if your operator doesn't support automatic time synchronization via NITZ (mine doesn't and device clock lags). ROOT is required for synchronization. I still have no idea how to make cool home screens and lock screens like the ones I see. Last night, in a last ditch effort, I downloaded Go Launcher and chose a theme. It didn't apply the whole thing (not all widgets were there) and I just couldn't stand the launcher itself and went quickly back to Nova. I see threads where people say they change their theme all the time. I don't even know how to create it once, lol. This is one significant reason I bought this phone, to customize the look, and I have had ...

Yeah. I have an HTC phone, but you can't use any HTC widgets while using a 3rd party launcher. I don't want some inferior copy like fancy widgets or something. I want the real HTC clock widget that takes me into the HTC weather app when I touch it. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Like an apk. of it that can be installed along side it as a 3rd party widget and won't just attempt to replace the system One? The HTC widgets are part of the Sense launcher, not just another set of widget apks. Like ...

Dan Quote: Originally Posted by cranky_dan ...will connect with the US Naval Observatory timekeeping gear and tweak the system clock? Dan I am not certain which atomic clock it connects to, but there is an app called Systrant. Root access is required for it to work. Thanks! I googled my little brain out and could not find systrant. I *did* find an app called Navy Clock II by R. Schilling. So I really am smiling. Dan

I am an HTC Evo 4G owner and have, to this point, been very unimpressed by the multitude of clock/weather widgets on the market. Perhaps I'm just picky. What I'm looking for: I am looking for a high quality clock widget without any weather options. I just don't want to have to globally turn off background updates, syncing....etc...etc just to make sure that if I chose not to use the weather feature, its still running in the background and using up resources. The ability to customize color, font and ...

I'm hoping this doesn't turn into an iPhone bashing thread as I'm honestly curious. I like iPhone and Android (albeit in different ways) and am hoping for honest answers. Anyway, I was looking at phone benchmarks of Android and iPhone on Geekbench (Link1) (Link2) and one thing that I noticed was how significantly higher Android benchmarks were VS their iPhone competitor. Many were even double the 4S, which is surprising because while they might surpass the performance of the 4S, I don't think the Galaxy S3 ...

Hey all, is there a way to acces the iPhone's internal clock and return the current time? thx for any help you can offer. Really interesting. Maybe it remembers the time that was set while on automatic and keeps it along with the one you set to manual. So if at a later point you switch back to auto, it can give you the correct time immediately even though there's no source to load the time at the moment. I just tried in our fallout shelter. There's no way in hell you get reception there. It's the same ...
