Hello, I currently need to SEO a site to target the UK market but would prefer to host in the US for cheaper running costs. I understand that I need to register a domain with a specific .uk suffix, but does it matter whether I use a US or UK based registrar? I would prefer to use GoDaddy.com as I have other domains with them, but if it is going to have a detrimental affect upon search engine ranking, then I will use a UK registrar. Are there any UK registrars that you would recommend based upon ...

Hey Guyz, I just changed registrar info for one of my main domains and rankings suddenly dropped, I know it could be anything like my links were de-valued or some links got deleted. But thats not the case. I changed that info about 6 months ago, but have only seen ranking drops in Feb/March. Maybe its panda that got me for some reason. Site used to rank #1 across multiple competitive keywords and now its on page 4-5 Has anyone else seen ranking drops recently due to changing registrar info? My that i mean ...

I need a public and large company to host my domains. can anyone recommend a domain registrar they have been using for 3 or more years? I think hosts and registrars should remain seperate. I have used all three (3) of the following registrars for more than three (3) years. However I would not use any of them for hosting: 1. Netsol.com 2. godaddy .com 3. name.com Is there a reason you don't want to use GoDaddy? Just out of my own curiousity. I've been with eNom for more than 4 years, Just domain ...

Google is now an ICANN-accredited registrar of domain names, providing it with yet another potential line of expansion. The fast-growing search provider is approved to sell names in seven top-level domains (TLDs) including .com, .net, .org, .biz., info, .name and .pro. Google's registrar status, first noted by LexText, is likely to prompt speculation about its ambitions in web hosting and blogging. Google operates Blogger, the free blog hosting service with a huge user base. Cheap or free domain names ...

I'm having problems with my registrar's (reg-123.com) email forwarding in that they are bouncing a lot of legitimate emails. I have spoken to them and they have refused to do anything about this so I am looking at changing my registrar (I just want use them for email forwarding and DNS). I'm thinking of swapping to Go Daddy, do you think this will solve my problems, will they pass all my email on? Well if they refuse to resolve your problem then you should look for the new host. Go daddy is popular hosting ...

What domain registrar do you use? I have heard the best ones are - enom.com, eurodns.com and godaddy.com. Do you agree with that? As for me I have used only eurodns.com services, I have reged some domains with them. No troubled I have experienced with them. I have ~25 domains through GoDaddy; I have yet to experience any trouble with them. Can't speak for other registrars, though. I've been told that Register.com and NetworkSolutions are overpriced. resell.biz is the best on price. Go Daddy rocks my socks, ...

I did a quick search and nobody has asked in a while. Can anyone suggest a decent hosting company as well as an SEO friendly registrar? Both together would be preferable, but I'm eager to hear all opinions. I'm after something for my father who's retiring soon, and whilst he has a history of large scale marketing, has never done anything like this and wants to learn. Thanks in advance for your help. Apologies, moving it to SEO Help, I couldn't really see where it would best fit, and thought that it was ...

Im using a company called Telivo as a domain name registrar. I have my own server so I know that there are no frames on the page at all. I have the domain set to redirect, as I am hosting the site myself, but rather than do a 301-redirected it seems that they are just pumping out a new page, with my own site in a frame inside it. Is this going to have a negative effect on my ranking? I would assume it does since frames are hardly ever used any more, and the issues that netscape has with them. So if it does ...

Can anybody suggest a good registrar for a .co.uk address? I'm not looking for FREE (cuz mostly the free ones come with lots of catches). I'm just trying to find one that's a decent price, gives me control over my domain, and doesn't have stipulations like requiring it be hosted with them, that they run the DNS, stupid fees if I want to transfer it to somebody else, that kind of thing. Thanks guys http://www.domainnamerank.com/cgi-bin/search/basic.cgi over 100 on this page Thanks. I was kinda fishing for a ...

I have about 9 sites that have the same DNS server, different Class C IP addresses, and the same Registar information. I am looking to do my SEO linking efforts for all of these sites at the same time. Is google going to look down on my sites if a majority of their incoming links are coming from the same sites? My sites are not going to be interlinking (maybe one or two because its needed). Any opinions on a betteer what to do it or am I right on track? You have different Class C's, and all are pointing to ...

Starting a new blog and have a domain name but sadly my registrar doesn't have the CNAME feature that lets you properly set it up to use that domain. I've forwarded domains from my registrar before, i'm just wondering what impact this has on SEO? Would google recognize it as mysite.com or mysite.blogspot.com. I thin the latter, but either way, if people link to mysite.com would that count as links towards it? What if they link to blogspot.com, would that be the same? Thanks very much, i'm kinda curious ...

Okay, I currently own a domain name which I registered with a registrar. Currently, when I type in the URL, it goes to their server, and they bounce it to mine. How can I set it up so that when anyone types in the URL it comes directly to my server. I need to know for the purposes of a small e-commerce site I'm making. Currently it won't let me use the "https:" protocol with my domain name because it's looking for my secure pages on my registrar's server instead of mine. I'm pretty sure it has something to ...

So I'm looking to buy a few domains, but how do I make sure that the registrar (or whoever) buys the domains in my name (i.e., making me the owner of it). Do all the websites 'selling' domain names actually do that? How come some can sell domain names at cheaper prices than others? Is it possible that they could buy the domain, but they actually own it, and then tell you a year later "if you want this domain you'll have to pay more for it?" Anyone had bad experiences, or is this now generally standard fare ...

hi guys, know of any reliable good registrars that handles .au extensions? I got to set one up asap. I can't speak for the reliability, but here's one to check into: http://www.domainregistration.com.au/ I wouldn't touch those guys, they're not very good. I used to use them and their domain update system is cheezy and broken. The one I use mianly for .au is NetRegistry http://netregistry.com.au/ Enetica is good also, if a bit pricy: http://enetica.com.au/ cool I am checking them out now. its dodgy so far ...
