Hi guys..HELP! We're running outlook express on one laptop and there's just one annoying little thing. We're using BT Yahoo mail for the MD and 99% of the e-mails are fine. Attachments appear when they should and how they should, Norton scans the incoming mails and everything's rosy. However, from ONE external sales guy, the attachments sent to the MD are removed from the mail completely. If you go to Yahoo webmail, you can see the attachment and on another machine, the attachment can be downloaded. On the ...

It's making me batty! I spent the last hour and a half weeding through my emails from the weekend trying to find the customer emails vs the spam and the free porn vs the fake stuff. (j/k) It's honestly starting to make me tense. Right after I finished I hit send/receive and 30 more emails pop up. I delete them, check myspace, and 6 more spams are already there. boom. one more just popped up while typing this. I've tried blockers before, but I think it's time to give it another go. I'd like to have a ...

I am having some difficulty accessing one specific website. I am partnering with several people in creating a local church website and ever since I uploaded my info via the FTP in Windows XP, I can no longer view the site at all. I have also tried uploading more info via Windows - didn't work. I installed SmartFTP and tried uploading. No luck there either. I just gives me an error saying that I was rejected. I have configured just about everything that needs configuring. I am running Windows XP with a DSL ...

Anyone notice today that the SERPS are different if you use the Yahoo toolbar instead of searching directly from yahoo.com? Most of my SERPs are in different postions when checking them via the toolbar vs just going to their homepage and checking from there. If this sticks it could be a right pain in the a*s if people dont have tool bar installed in their browser No making myself really clear here am i lol. Go check yourself I'm reluctant to install yet another toolbar, especially a Yahoo one! Any ...

I tried running HouseCall by TrendMicro and was unable to run it for some reason using both IE or Firefox. HJT log is as follows: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at ...

Hello again, there seems to be even more problems with my computer now, but with ads. Every single time I run internet explorer on any user an Ad-aware window pops up asking me if I want to block or accept a harmful download called 180 search assisant. I just ran Ad-aware and Spybot S&D and they deleted alot of ad programs. Also, I removed 180 search assistant and Bullseye Network (they both seemed to be connected to ad programs). The computer has been slow lately, especially when I turn on Internet ...

Who here uses norton mcafee e-trust ect virus software? I have been using computers on the net for about 8 or 9 years, and have never run iton a virus via the internet. am I lucky? I hear about all of these virus' and I never get them without even buying anti virus software. So it's not that you don't/couldn't have viruses on your computer, it's that even if you did you wouldn't ever know because you have never scanned your computer? The thing with viruses (mainly trojans) these days is that most of the ...

So I'm making a new topic as you previously suggested because I'm going to be entering a new HJT log here. Its been a while, I'm sorry. The issue is with my secondary machine and I've been too busy to deal with it lately. Refresher: Win 2K SP4. Malware downloaded to desktop and launched. (still want to smack my son for this!) Started getting popups, etc. No longer getting those issues, but during login, after hitting ctl-alt-del, get a blank window with an "OK" button at bottom which must be clicked to get ...
