Time warner cable live TV is now available for ICS. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on rooted devices. Because you know, you might be able to "steal" their content and save it for later! Nevermind those VHS, DVD-R, TV-tuner and DVR things. Seriously though, I can't imagine why they would prohibit root on an app like that for any other reason. <snip> rooted users will eventually find a back door to this and exploit TWC's mistake. and we will have it. it may not be TWC as they develop the application on the ...

Just figured I'd tell everyone how much I love this program. Tonight, again, Time Warner Cable screwed me over with their network going down. For many hours I had no internet, and it couldn't have come at a worse time. This time, I figured I'd use PDA NET with my iMac, and I couldn't be happier with it's performance. To be honest, if we didn't have more than one computer/device that used the internet, I'd simply use this. My internet was surprisingly fast. In fact, I barely noticed a difference, and was ...

With Apple and Google pushing this cloud initiative, why are carriers not doing the same? What I mean by this is if much of our data is to be stored on the cloud, we will be constantly downloading and chewing up our data. Fortunately, I have unlimited data on VZW. However, those with 2GB limits will start paying through the nose for this. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? People want lots of data and have shown they are willing to pay through the nose for it. Carriers have got a good thing going on ...

I hope this is the right forum. I have a brand-new Galaxy Note 2. I mostly access my e-mail on my home computer, but it would be great if I could access it also from my phone, expecially when I am in a wait mode somewhere away from the house. My provider is Time Warner Cable. At home I use Outlook via SMTP and POP3. Thanks, Quote: Originally Posted by Jon Jacobs I hope this is the right forum. I have a brand-new Galaxy Note 2. As a home, J.J. Abrams has a restricted record at the box workplace. His only other attempts are 2011′s relatively low-budget ($50 million) Extremely 8, and 2006′s Mission: Impossible III. But, big things are still predicted from this follow up, which cost an approximated $190 million to make. With the help of the unique throw — most of whom are larger celebrities now — and composing group (including new inclusion Damon Lindelof), powerful opinions from experts and an amazing ...

We got a Sony S a while ago and love the embedded Remote Control App. Any chance of a similar app available for the GNex? If I understand it, unless you have wifi or bluetooth enabled media equipment, you'd need IR capability on the phone and I assume that's primarily a hardware requirement. I saw something about an addon device that would give a smart phone IR capability (Griffin maybe?). Thanks for any advice. There's a Sony media controller remote that let's you control the internet connected blue ray ...

According to a new report, Time Warner Cable might give Apple full control over their UI. But that would be it, as Time Warner Cable states that they want to keep customer relationships, not hand them over to Apple. The cable giant is said to be “hard at work at a cloud-based guide experience,” and who better to partner with than Apple? Apparently Time Warner Cable likes the UI design of iOS, as they want their own interface to resemble the interface on the iPhone and iPad. I think they chose the ...

Potential new user here. I've looked at some threads that may cover this subject but was not sure I understood, primarily be cause of the "jargon" used. Here is what would like to do. Using a stock Motorola Droid 2 (one with keyboard), connect my PC wireless to the Droid and then connect to the internet. Currently I use Time Warner/RoadRunner to connect (in-house wireless). I travel so that would mean I could use the Droid as my interface to the internet at home or on the road. I then could drop Time ...

My in-laws have a house without a computer and with no free wi-fi available. The 3G connection is spotty in their area, sometimes being acceptable and often not. I know that Time Warner Cable offers what they call their access pass but their info screen does not state the price. Does anyone know what a one-day access pass runs? Alternatively does anyone know whether other providers offer reasonably priced short term wifi access? The last time I visited their house I recall something about Optimum-Wifi in ...

Hey everyone! I have Time Warner Cable Internet and I just got a wireless router. I haven't hooked it up yet, but i am wondering... after I hook up the router and use 2 computers on it, will Time Warner Cable begin to charge me more? My gut instict is that they can't tell the difference between two or more systems on the same line. But i am not sure if a seperate IP is assigned or not. Any thoughts?
