Hi there. Well the new site's up and, just as I figured, I didn't get the htaccess file right! The new site can be found in my sig. If you check out the inlinks - site:www.clubcopying.co.uk you'll see all the links from the old site, all asp superstring urls. Well they can all be redirected and I drew up a 180-odd line htaccess file before the transfer. I ended up creating an endless loop which I've since 'fixed' by guessing a couple of lines to delete but I haven't figured out how to get the redirects ...

Hi all, How can I convert the text in a textbox to an integer? Can I use something like this?: Code: int Integer; Integer = Convert.ToInt32(textBox1.Text); Integer = int.Parse(textBox1.Text); And to menage not expected values (like char o string) is correct using try{} and catch{}? Thanks to all You can test for the length of the string and not convert if the length is 0. (A string with just char 0 is 0 length.) You could use a try/catch block, but that generates more code than just a simple length test. ...

On my website (using Zen Cart) I am having problems with the 404 forwarding. It works as long as the wrong address is like this: http://webSite.com/index.php?main_page=wrongPage Is there a way I can make this work so that if a user types in: http://webSite.com/wrongPage they are brought to: http://webSite.com/index.php?main_page=page_not_found Thanks. I think you could probably set up an ErrorPage directive that points it to the appropriate page. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure you could use ...

I want to copy whole database with data of MSSQL to another machine. How can I do it? Please help The best way is to do a full backup and then do a full restore on the new server. If you have the management console, you can do a full backup and restore from it. Otherwise you will need to do a command line backup and restore. Here's a good tutorial on how to perform a full backup: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms186289.aspx You should probably avoid the WITH FORMAT option unless you are backing up ...

I have a site that I would like to put an Iframe on (box 192.168.100.10). In the Iframe, I want it to put content from 192.168.100.10:10000. I have tried NAT for :10000 but the problem is that the application that uses that port for (lets say appache is running on :10000, but that is not the real app) cant use windows authetication and then I would have a security issue. Basically, is there a way that I have a :80 running my site, then a page pull another page from an internal source? BTW, I have already ...

A while ago I started a thread (http://forums.seochat.com/t33967/s.html) on converting RSS feeds to javascript and the fundamental issue about javascript not being spidered. I got a bunch of response stating that the only way to go around this was to convert RSS to PHP. Now the major issue is that my site is .NET. Does anyone know the way around this with .NET? i.e. converting RSS to html or any 'spiderable' format on a .NET platform. I'm not sure how to do it manually, but RssEqualizer.com offers a ...
