I have a fairly new Note II. I recently lost my Galaxy SII and switched to this model. I use the device for both work and personal email and calendar items. The stock calendar works fine, and I don't like any third-party caledar eapps I've tried. The one thing I want to see though, is colors. On the SGS II, the Exchange calendar items had a different color than the Google Calendar items. I don't see this same behavior on the new device. I did install Calendar colors, but it doesn't seem to change anything. ...

In anticipation of the impending release of the one of the best phones ever - the Galaxy Note 2, I thought that I would start a thread listing some of the coolest features found on the Note 2 that were spotted on review videos. I know I have watched a good number of them (I can't help it) and here are two things: On the stock keyboard, there is an option for one-handed use. With this option selected, the keyboard moves to one side of the phone. The second feature is, for example, when there is link in an ...

Hi Guys, I am planning to buy a High End phone. Though my Basic requirement is mostly Emailing, IM and Web Browsing. My prime concern is whenever I visit a website the viewing has to be clear and comfortably big. So I am looking out for a phone with a decent screen. Now I have shortlisted two phones the Nokia N900 and the Samsung Galaxy S-i9000. I know that the SGS comes with an Amoled Screen, which supports 16 Million colors but frankly speaking a lot of people have been saying this to me besides the big, ...

I have a SGS and I am trying to find an app that allows someone to use my phone to call, but doesn't permit them to browse my SMS or media (pics and videos). I have a lot of minutes on my phone and I don't mind sometimes to lend my phone to my brother to use, but I don't feel comfortable knowing that my SMS messages are available to him to read. Is there an app that will help me achieve what I want to do? https://market.android.com/details?id=com.carrotapp.protectpronew ...

Hey guys, been using my new android phone for about the last week or so now. I’m really enjoying it. Now I keep my data connection turned off most of the day to save battery, but occasionally I’ll turn it on and hit sync all from one of my home screens What I would like to know, is there an app that I could use to automatically turn on my data connection/wifi and sync all my accounts at set times during the day. Eg Morning, Lumch and Evening? I’ve read about Tasker but I think it might be too ...

It stinks that Samsung didnt make one but is it possible for a developer to make one that works with the Galaxy S default music player? I dont use a lock screen at all so I have no way of controlling the music besides going into the music player app. I am currently using Meridian player which has a music player widget btw. I plan to get the Epic 4g and want to use the samsung player, but it needs a widget If you pull down the notification bar, you can change/pause the song, and i find thats actually better ...

Ooh, first topic on a forum EVER I believe, but here goes... I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting subtitles to work in any video player on Android so far. I though that I may be lucky after converting an MKV with embedded subs to an MP4 and playing in Meridian with no luck. After having a look over the Meridian FAQ/Tutorial I can see they are supported, though only as an additional SRT. Having a had a look around it appears extracting SRTs from MKV is not nearly as easy as you'd think (I've ...

So I'm getting a SGS II for my birthday and I would like to know if I can use websites on the internet to buy unlock codes so I can unlock it and use it with my GSM Sim card? I heard unlockthatphone.com is good. The other question is, if SGS II comes with an older version of android, can I get the latest version when the ice cream sandwich will be available? thanks Yeah you will be able to unlock your phone that way. There are already unofficial build of ics available for the gs2 so it will definitely be ...
