Does anyone have experience with (what should have been) a fairly straight-forward code configuration, using Tomcat, where the Bean just adds the day's date, the day of week, and the time to a .jsp page. I'm already digging through all of the manuals, docs, and scuttlebut I can find, butt... no dice (s/b read: date). Please let me know if you have a feel for what the ROOT file's attending ~.xml file should contain. Better still, where I can highly likely find the answers myself, which of course is what I'm ...

Hello, I am doing research on my own also but need to ask if I don't find anything on my own. Does anybody know if there is an iPhone SDK class that would allow me to: 1. Access a URL that is *.jsp by passing 2 parameters *from iPhone program* to it like so: identity_check.jsp?cliId=me&code=12345 When identity_check.jsp checks validity of information it displays: - Found! or - Not Found! 2. Have my iPhone app then read the information displayed by identity_check.jsp P.S. I was able to implement this ...

I submit a sitemap to our site(tonerworld.com) about 6 month ago and after about two weeks 14,000 pages indexed. Slowly over time we are down to 2,000 indexed pages. I have heard that you shouldn't need a sitemap if you have a good link structure. All of our pages are link in some way to our homepage. Can you guys take a look and give some suggestions. What I am doing right and what I am doing wrong. tonerworld.com Thanks John Quote: Originally Posted by osmack21 I submit a sitemap to our ...

Hi, ok, I have a jsp page, which we will call page 1. Once I go to that page, I all I want it to do is compile a certain file.java, and then run the file.java. The user doesn't actually know that this is going on in the background. Page 1 automatically redirects the user to page 2 (also a jsp page). The java program that I created (that was previously compiled and ran) creates a special javascript file. After running the file.java in page #1, the java file creates a javascript file that will be used in ...

Hi! I was browsing the Net seeking the reliable and big JSP hosting companies. But I haven't found anything except several small JSP hosting providers. And no info why PHP is better than JAVA. Better for hosting companies. So, I wonder, whether there are some objective reasons that make such an impact on the hosting market development? Why only rare hosting companies support JSP? Is it easy for them (I mean PHP hosting companies) to include JSP into their services? Or maybe it will be unprofitable? If so, ...

Hi, I'm an intern helping a company optimize the cadillac.com site. On the main page there is a site map http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/sitemap.jsp, which includes most of the subpages. One of the subpages is a photo gallery for the xlr model: http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/....jsp?model=xlr. However, in Google, when I view the pages that link to that photo page (i.e. "link:http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/models/gallery.jsp?model=xlr"), the sitemap page doesn't get listed! Instead, numerous ...
