I need help in developing a site for my firm that is very similar to that of HR Block and Liberty Tax Services where my clients and perhaps new clients, can go on the site and file their tax return. If you go to their site, you will see what I am talking about...there are sites such as Tax Slayer as well. Does anyone where to go about in developing a site like this? Servers and secure connections? Legalities? Thank you in advance....

Im trying to edit a horizontal ruler (<HR>) but i want to be able to edit it in CSS I want too... ...change width ...change bg color ... change "size" Thank you in advance! -Hayden You're going to run into browser support with this All "presentation attributes" of the hr element were deprecated in HTML 4.01. All "presentation attributes" of the hr element are not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD. And I can't remember which one it is, but either IE or Mozilla-based browsers will display the presentation ...

I decided to use some CSS to format the one and only <hr> tag I use in my website. It works fine in IE, but not in Firefox or Opera. Specifically, it isn't blue like I specified it to be. Any ideas? My CSS for that tag is below. hr { color: #0000FF; height: 2px; padding: 0; margin: 2px 0 0 0; width: 780px; } hr { color: #0000FF; height: 2px; padding: 0; margin: 2px 0 0 0; width: 780px; } Cross-broswer <hr />: <div style=" border-top: 2px solid #0000ff; width: 780px"></div> .... background images can be ...

Any ideas why IE8 would extend a container past an <hr/> element that clears both, but not a <br/> ? Neither element has a single rule that applies to it in the stylesheet. There isn't a single wildcard (*) selector in the stylesheet either. Attachments: This is the version with <br style="clear:both;"/> Attachments: This is the version with <hr style="clear:both;"/> try giving the <br/> a display block, a height and a width. That would force the hasLayout in IE. <br /> is an inline element and <hr /> is ...

The site works fine, but the blog is broken, even though we've used the same code as the rest of the site and it validates 100%. The footer appears below the right column instead of at the foot of the page like the rest of the site. http://www.wildfiremarketinggroup.com/blog/ Can anyone see what's causing the problem? The padding show up after the HR definition is removed ? It's probably due to what was a non-display element suddenly being a block-display element. You could replace the HR definition & use ...

Hello I've always been using a <hr> tag without a problem. Since the release of IE8 it doesn't show anymore. The problem doesn't occur in Mozilla Firefox. Anyone had the same problem or knows a solution? I'm using hr { color: #B4C0CF; background-color: #B4C0CF; border: 0px solid #B4C0CF; } Thanks in advance. Nick I gave up on the <hr /> tag a long time ago just use a div with a background and set it to tile along (x) try <hr /> instead of <hr> technically xhtml requires a closed tag so the tag with the ...

I want to block all mobile internet traffic on my X10 mini pro (2.1 stock), except one url and wifi. My prepaid provider (T-mobile HR) offers 0.facebook.com which is free of charge, so I would like to have this feature, but to block other mobile internet traffic because the cost is a bit high. When WiFi is on i would like to have full internet access. The phone is not rooted. Is there any firewall that can do this and possible with on/off widget so I could turn it off when on WiFi? Do I have to be rooted ...

I am receiving this error on a php script: $mail_prefix = 'A quote request was sent to you from ' . $_POST['firstname'] . ' ' . $_POST['lastname'] . '\r\n <hr />'; Anyone know what this is all about? What are a few of the lines that precede the line you gave us? Did you forget to close any lines with semicolons? Also this part: "\r\n <hr />" As shown here: http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.t ... tax.double Although that still shouldn't result in your Parse error code. wow, that was simple enough. ...
