Hello pals, I have a question which I believe can be on minds on thousands of folks as well and would appreciate if you answer it professionally. With introduction of Flash drives that come in high capacities like 32, 64, 128 Gigs and over, and since desktop computers today have several USB ports at the back of the boxes, is it logical and practical to rely on Flash drives as permanent hard disks? For example, if I purchase two 32GIG Flash drives and stick them into two USB ports of my desktop system and ...

How do I transfer disk space form two drives that I don't use to my local drive C? Kind regards AC The free way is the better way, in my opinion. This method involves the use of the common copy and paste routine of Windows. First, you must install the new drive. Temporarily install it as a slave to the old drive. Set up the new drive as drive D:, or whatever your slave drive should be. Partition and format the new drive just like normal. In order to use this method of file transfer, the partitions on the ...

I'm not only new to iPhone development, but new to Macs in general so this may be silly. I got a Mac Mini to get started on but I've since picked up a MacBook. I just want to copy an XCode project from one Mac to the other. I have a network drive that both can see but when I try to copy and paste the folder to the network drive from the Mini, I keep getting a message saying it could not be copied because some DS_ST.... file is already there. I delete this file and try again and still get the error. I've ...

USB flash drives utilize the USB mass storage standard, supported natively by modern os's such as Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, and other Unix-like systems, along with many BIOS boot ROMs. USB drives with USB 2.0 support can store more data and transfer faster than larger optical disc drives like CD-RW or DVD-RW drives and can be read by a number of other systems like the Xbox 360 elite, Ps3, DVD players plus some upcoming mobile smartphones. Nothing moves mechanically very quickly drive; the phrase drive ...

I recently installed a bigger hdd. "My computer" wouldn't recognise it as bigger despite bios and windows explorer showing the big capacity. I restarted from scratch. I partitioned the drive and installed the contents of my old drive with Norton Ghost. The pc wouldn't boot. Couldn't find operating system. I used the Windows CD and installed another copy of XP Pro. The pc says this has gone in partition c: and my Ghosted files are in partition d: I want to use the ghosted files as my operating system, to ...
