Looks more like Chrome, presents users with fewer functions. Mozilla's Firefox 4 has a Chrome tint to it - TechRepublic ___________________ Uggghhh I'm trusting the devs at Mozilla can make it work, I hate the feel of Chrome. Hmmm....I do like Firefox that much. The only problem with Firefox personally is the way they works with resources. They have consumed too much, sometime caused PC /Laptop to freeze. I just hope they could have got it fixed with their latest version. Quote: Originally Posted by ...

Please don't reply with "Yes" or "No" without reading the full blog post. You may miss a few key points that might change your mind. Quote: Just a few years ago, Mozilla's Firefox browser was rising fast as the chief challenger to Microsoft's stubbornly dominant Internet Explorer. Things change pretty fast in the world of Internet technology, however, and today Firefox's once bright future seems much less certain. In 2008, Mozilla entered into a three-year partnership with Google. In exchange for remaining ...

Hi all, I am not sure if you have noticed but my computer kept on crashing and I didn't know why. I had a couple of software running and they would crash about twice a day. I then looked at the processes ni the task manager. FF was taking 1GB of ram. I switched to Chrome, it's taking about 100MB. I believe all the plugins for firefox made it huge to run. anyway, just sharing that here. If you are using FF, you might want to check it out as well. How many plugins for firefox do you have Julien? I've got 3 ...

<--- still a IE type of guy. Your opinions on this version would be helpful in this thread after you read the review in this blog post. Quote: Mozilla’s rapid release schedule for Firefox continues with the arrival of Firefox 7 for Mac, Windows and Linux. Firefox 7 comes less than six weeks after the release of Firefox 6. Mozilla moved to a more rapid release cycle with a more streamlined, frequent and incremental upgrade cycle a la Google’s Chrome browser, after Firefox 4 launched back in March. As ...

According to http://www.internetnews.com/dev-news/print.php/3788821 http://www.forbes.com/2008/12/05/google-operating-system-tech-enter-cx_ew_1205google.html Google prepares something that could be an operation system. After Chrome and Android it does not surprise me. This move could change definitively the face of the web and the face of SEO IMHO. Google would get more user data and would improve their algorithms, will detect even easier black hat seo and will have a huge advantage comparing to other ...

Google Chrome vulnerable to carpet-bombing flaw Posted by Ryan Naraine September 2nd, 2008 Quote: Google’s shiny new Web browser is vulnerable to a carpet-bombing vulnerability that could expose Windows users to malicious hacker attacks. Just hours after the release of Google Chrome, researcher Aviv Raff discovered that he could combine two vulnerabilities — a flaw in Apple Safari (WebKit) and a Java bug discussed at this year’s Black Hat conference — to trick users into launching executables ...

Like always while logging in? Then bang it struck me "chrome" had crashed! No you say! As I have had a long time now with little problems? When trying to fix it "as per" the directions in the page that came up! Finally giving up changed back to IE8 while trying once again to load a new version of "chrome" That not working! Always the same thing? I then looked around for a other one " Opera" ? That to! Would not work? So now what? "Fire Fox" What a pleasure it loaded in no time, and not only that they sent ...

Don't put off the switch. I just switched to chrome because the growing number of problems with firebug and ff in gen. I have used it previously only for cross checking but this thing is FAST and little did i know, has it's own tools so i won't be missing firebug either. I've been using Chrome for a few months and it's so much better for ME than IE or FF. No crashes whatsoever and v. quick. I also like, although I don't know if this is unique, the ability to highlight a piece of text, i.e."Nikon F3", right ...

Haven't seen a simple comparison of browser performance lately, until today. http://sixrevisions.com/infographs/browser-performance/ It's a shame the only thing Chrome seems to be good for is browsing web pages. It got some pretty good marks. IE is a joke. I was surprised at Safari beating FF a lot. (I assume that is base firefox, no extensions). I shall not use chrome until it's plugin base has all that I use on firefox.. Now to run this test on osx and see how they stack up! I used to use firefox until ...

Opera are shouting about there new browser version 10.50. I'm a full time opera user and I have always found opera alot more faster and smoother than any other browser. http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog...-browser-speed Maybe it's a bit faster, but does it have all the cool and invaluable plugins that come with Firefox? I don't think so! At least it's not Safari! [QUOTE=Hades;1315949If a browser loads 2x faster than the rest but then it crashes or it fails miserably at displaying my pages correctly I ...

Some news for the FF users. Sorry, i still use IE. Quote: Itching to get your hands on the next major revision of Mozilla's Firefox Web browser? The official release for Firefox 6 is scheduled for this Tuesday, but Mozilla has already thrown up the installation files on its FTP for industrious and impatient users to download and install. I have used many browsers but there is no alternative to Mozilla FireFox. The best feature for me is the plug-in that is helpful for me to check the links are no follow or do follows. The Best Web Browser is Mozilla for Seo and google crome for it's speed FireFox FTW!! You know... I have been annoyed by the flash player crashed all the time with the latest firefox so that kinda stopped me saying it's the best one now. Google Chrome is quite stable and fast, so it's probably the best now. I personally use ...

I don't use this browser at all and i'm sure most of you know a few tricks to save your memory but give this blog post a read at least. This seems to be happening a lot lately... I launch the browser, and then just leave the computer untouched. The next thing I know, after several minutes of the computer just sitting there, the browser suddenly crashes. I posted this question at the Mozilla forums, but no one seems to have an answer. Is this happening to anyone else lately? Not happened to me. Ever since I started using Firefox and Chrome a year or so ago, I've only had one, just one, crash with Mozilla Firefox. Have you installed any new ...

Now if you find a website which allows you to talk to write instead of type to write, make sure you open that site with Google Chrome. Fresh from the work that we’ve been doing with the HTML Speech Incubator Group, we’ve added support for the HTML speech input API. With this API, developers can give web apps the ability to transcribe your voice to text. When a web page uses this ...
