Does anyone know of a good tutorial that shows how to implement facebook into an iphone app? I have checked the facebook website and git but I can't get it to work. Does anyone have experience with this? Or know of a good tutorial? wuf810 wrote: » Google is your friend (or used to be before they became evil) : How To Use Facebook’s New Graph API from your iPhone App | Ray Wenderlich Thanks a lot - that is a great tutorial. I use sharekit in my apps. Recently, all of them have had an issue with Facebook. When you try to publish to wall, it gives a message about something weird in address bar and requires you to enter a captcha text before it will publish. What is this due to? maddogsoftware wrote: » I've seen quite a few issues on/off with facebook publishing from sharekit due to facebook changing their api and breaking backwards compatibility. The best place to chase these issues is on the sharekit git page: last time I ...

I create a project in Xcode and do the following in terminal: cd to the project path git init nano .gitignore (fill in the ignore files) git add . git commit -m "init commit" git branch NewBranch git checkout NewBranch edit the files git checkout master the problem is the edits on the NewBranch are shown on the master. Sure I'm missing a step or two, any ideas? Thanks you need to upload the branch to your git provider. I am using unfuddle which is good. git push --all shortreponame shortreponame needs to ...

Hey. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to setup Xcode to use git pull --rebase when it does a pull. Is anyone doing this? Just wondering. Thanks! Interesting question. One possibility might be to use the xcrun command line utility when pushing to git: (http://www.raywenderlich.com/13771/how-to-use-git-source-control-with-xcode-in-ios-6). E.g., xcrun git pull --rebase and do it manually in Terminal. To make your life even easier, you could alias git to automatically use XCRun ala alias ...

Looking to finally settle on a version control system for my development. I trying to decide between Git and Subversion. Git seems to have a number of strong supporters and some great advantages over subversion but subversion has become the defacto baseline version control system and has the built in integration with xcode. Anyone using git who would like to share their experiences? Thanks in advance What is GIT? I use git for all my projects, including iPhone stuff. I think the advantages over subversion ...

I have an Xcode 4 project that I've been working on for a while. For version control I was using the local git repository that Xcode creates when you create a new project, but now I have to use a remote svn repository instead. I have added the new repo in the Organizer and I imported the project into it, but I can't find the option (in Xcode 4) to commit changes to the new SVN repo instead of the old local git repo. When I go to File > Source Control > Commit, it tries to commit to the local git repo. I ...

Folks, Up until now, we've used SVN on our company's server for source control. We're setting up a client with a remote Git server, and have just tried to check in the project. My partner did the initial check-in, and I "cloned" the project (Git term) to get a local copy. Now, when I modify files, they get marked with an "M" in the organizer, as expected. However, I dragged a folder-full of image files into the project, and slected "add groups for folders" option, as usual. The image files show up in the ...

Downloaded XCode 4 and tried to make it work with git, but got a lot of crashes. What I ended up doing was: 1. Creating project in XCode 2. Navigating to the directory in Terminal 3. Doing git init 4. Doing git add for every file 5. Doing git commit 6. Going back into project and setting up git source control with a file: URL At this point I can commit within XCode, and the version editor works. If I try the version editor with any file that was not added and committed, XCode crashes. Cannot seem to add ...

I am getting the following error when I try to add files to my project. I can not find the file that it says to delete and I have re-started my mac and xcode several times. Can anyone help? Error: fatal: Unable to create '/Users/joseph_nardone/Documents/Capabilities/.git/index.lock': File exists. If no other git process is currently running, this probably means a git process crashed in this repository earlier. Make sure no other git process is running and remove the file manually to continue. smithdale87 ...
